MONONA, Wis. (WMTV) - No one was hurt after the Monona Police Department responded to Monona Grove High School Thursday after a report came in for a student with a gun.
MOPD stated while officers responded to the school, additional calls came from staff members reporting a fight in the school. Those callers did not report a weapon being involved, MOPD noted.
Within two minutes of the initial call, MOPD arrived at the school. As officers investigated, the school officials initiated a ‘Classroom Hold.
Officers learned that a fight broke out between two students, but there was no weapon involved.
MOPD noted the information about the weapon was relayed to the original caller by another person.
