IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers has been summoned to appear before the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) again on Friday. The DGCA is intensifying its inquiry into the operational challenges at India’s largest domestic airline, which controls over 65 per cent of the market share.
The DGCA formed a four-member panel last week with the mandate to identify the root causes behind the widespread flight cancellations and operational setbacks that left tens of thousands of passengers stranded at airports across the country.
