RAIPUR: Three men, including a well-known businessman, died under mysterious circumstances at a farmhouse in Chhattisgarh's Korba district on Wednesday late night, in what appeared to be a deadly cocktail of alleged tantric (occult) practices, black magic, money-doubling fraud and suspected strangulation. The incident took place at Kudri village, where scrap trader Mohammed Ashraf Memon and two others – Suresh Sahu of Korba, and Nitish Kumar of Baloda Bazar – were found dead during a purported occult ritual. Preliminary inputs suggest that the men were lured with a promise that Rs 5 lakh would multiply to Rs 2.5 crore overnight through a ‘tantra-mantra' ritual.
