BEMIDJI — On a night when the Lumberjacks led by 50, one wouldn’t expect the loudest cheer to be the final bucket.

But when senior Kayce Christiansen made a 3-pointer, the crowd — and the bench, especially — had no choice but to go crazy.

“I usually don’t (shoot from 3),” she said. “I don't have a lot of confidence. But when I do, I guess it happens.”

Christiansen did not expect it to go in, but when it did, she had a huge smile on her face as she held three fingers in the air. The bench was jumping up and down and waving towels, excited for their fellow senior.

On Senior Night, Christiansen got some well-deserved playing time. She got a bucket in the first half and scored seven more in the second to be the third-highest scoring Bemidji High School girls basketball player on Thursday n
