Letter to the Editor

I want to thank the employees of the City of Wilkes-Barre for answering the Mayor’s Challenge and donating to the Inaugural City of Wilkes Barre’s employee food drive. The Commission on Economic Opportunity’s Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Northeast Regional Food Bank was in serious need of donations. Because of our employees’ generosity, we were able to help meet that need, with the donation of 6,460 pounds of food. The food donated will stay in the Wilkes-Barre area, to serve our neighbors most in need.
