The YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne and a faith-based youth camp in Steuben County are among recipients of $1 million Lilly Endowment Inc. grants, officials announced Thursday.

The money is for the second phase of a Capital Project Initiative by Lilly, a private foundation based in Indianapolis.

The YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne said in a news release that it will focus on the guest experience through infrastructure and security upgrades at YMCA Camp Potawotami, which serves children ages 6 to 17.

“This includes renovating our most popular camper lodge, upgrading security along Camp’s entrance and building a new welcome center for guest check-in,” the news release said.
