BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Well if you were in Blue Hill Thursday night you might’ve seen a man with a white beard and a big red coat.

The Blue Hill Chamber of Commerce held its 3rd annual Christmas tree lighting in front of town hall, with plenty of kids and adults showing up to celebrate.

The festivities were packed with games, live music, hot chocolate, and a visit from Santa Claus himself.

Santa showed up in a fire truck to kick of the lighting of the tree and listen to Christmas wishes from the kids.

Parents and organizers think the gathering is not only a great opportunity to kick off the season, but that it also serves as a way to give their kids memories they can look back on.
