New Delhi, Dec 12 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in a bus accident in Andhra Pradesh’s Alluri Sitharama Raju district.

As many as nine people were killed after a bus overturned on the ghat road between Chinturu and Bhadrachalam in Andhra Pradesh’s Alluri Sitarama Raju district, reports said, quoting ASR District Collector.

“Pained by the loss of lives due to a bus mishap in the Alluri Sitharama Raju district of Andhra Pradesh. My thoughts are with the affected people and their families during this difficult time,” PM Modi said in a post on handle X.

The Prime Minister also announced an ex gratia of Rs 2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) to the next of kin of each deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured.
