The Skyview girls basketball team opened its Hawaiian trip on the winning note, beating Crean Lutheran 50-38 on Thursday in the first of three games at the Oahu Classic.
Kennedy Bockert had 14 points and 18 rebounds as Skyview improved to 4-1 on the season.
The Storm never trailed after the second quarter, in which they outscored Crean Lutheran 13-4 to take a 27-17 lead. Skyview’s opponent from Irvine, Calif., fell to 5-2.
Skyview will play two more games in Hawaii. The Storm face Pisgah of Alabama on Friday and Midway of Texas on Saturday.

WASHOGUAL 67, R.A. LONG 22 — Jenna Klopman scored 17, points, Maddy Alldrin added 16 points and the Panthers rolled to a 2A GSHL home win.
Teja Slyter added 13 points as Washougal improved to 2-2 overall and 1-1 in league play.
