Mangaluru, Dec 12: The Holy Cross Church in Cordel marked the 148th death anniversary of its founder, Fr Alexander Dubois, affectionately known as ‘Frad Saib’, with a solemn Mass held at the church grounds.

Fr Rohit D’Costa, director of Mangala Jyothi, officiated the mass. In his homily, he emphasized the significance of family, faith, and trust, and praised Frad Saib’s dedication, which led to the establishment of the sacred Holy Cross Church in Cordel.

"Honouring one’s parents is a divine virtue that invites blessings from God. Recognizing and rectifying one’s mistakes is crucial. The Word of God serves as an inspiration for all of us. Let us adopt it in our lives, becoming benevolent members of society," remarked Fr Rohit
