ITV bosses revealed earlier this year that there would be a momentous soap crossover episode, in which the worlds of Coronation Street and Emmerdale come together for the first time, in a special hour-long episode called Corriedale. The special hour-long episode has now been given an air date and it will show on ITV on Monday 5 January at 8pm. It will launch ITV's new 'soap power hour' scheduling pattern for Coronation Street and Emmerdale.
