The Watertown and Aberdeen Central high school boys and girls basketball teams have at least one big thing in common heading into the 2025-26 season.

All four teams hope to challenge for a state Class AA tournament berth after missing out the last few seasons. Watertown's girls last qualified in 2023, the Arrows' only appearance since 2009, and Aberdeen Central's girls in 2022. Watertown's boys last qualified in 2024, one of on two Watertown appearances since 2009, and Aberdeen Central in 2021.
