Doda, Dec12 : A wave of fear has gripped the Jungalwad village of Doda district after three wild bears were spotted together near the residential areas. Locals say they are afraid to visit their fields or enter the nearby forests where they usually collect firewood. Parents are also worried about sending their children tuition classes due to the growing threat.
Residents allege that despite repeated complaints, no team from the Wildlife Department or local administration has visited the area so far. They recalled that two people were seriously injured in previous bear attacks in the same region.
Villagers have urged the Wildlife Department to deploy a team immediately, capture the roaming bears, and safely relocate them to deep forest zones to prevent any major incident
