The Monroe County Opportunity Program received a $3,000 donation from Directions Credit Union as part of the credit union's Holiday Food Bank Rally.

The rally distributed $20,000 to eight food banks, according to a community announcement.

Other recipients include Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank ($8,000), Catholic Charities HOPE Pantry in Richland County ($3,000), Willard Area Food Bank in Huron County ($1,200), Associated Charities of Ashland County Food Bank ($1,200), Wooster Hope Center in Wayne County ($1,200), Greater Dover New Philadelphia Food Pantry in Tuscarawas County ($1,200), and Care and Share of Erie County ($1,200).
