GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A longtime office building in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids is being converted into a place for people to call home.
The Fifth Third Bank building at 111 Lyon Street is just months away from opening, set to offer 140 new apartment units throughout the top seven floors.
On Thursday morning, 13 ON YOUR SIDE got an inside look at the latest progress from the building’s developers, led by CWD Real Estate Investment and Orion Construction.
Sam Cummings, the managing partner at CWD, says the transformation is about 65% done, and on schedule to finish in June.
