A light-hearted yet telling moment unfolded in Pakistan’s National Assembly after Speaker Ayaz Sadiq discovered a bundle of currency notes lying on the floor, prompting an honesty test that quickly turned into a spectacle.

During the session earlier this week, speaker Sadiq found 10 PKR 5,000 notes (around Rs 16,500) on the floor of the Assembly and asked, “Whose money is this? Whoever it belongs to, please raise your hand."

To his astonishment, nearly a dozen lawmakers instantly claimed ownership, with 12–13 MPs raising their hands for the ten notes.

“There are 10 notes and twelve owners," the Speaker quipped before briefly halting the session’s formal proceedings.
