The number of drivers who have been caught speeding at more than 112mph in Suffolk has been revealed.

In a Freedom of Information request by Volvo Cars, it has been revealed that 25 vehicles were caught speeding above 112mph (about 180kmh) in Suffolk.

Some 76,616 total drivers were reported to have exceeded the speed limit in the county between September 2024 and December 2025.

Volvo Cars requested data for cars exceeding 112mph, as all new cars from the manufacturer since 2020 have been fitted with a 112mph electronic speed limiter.

A spokesman for the brand said: "Such technology would have prevented more than 1,500 drivers breaching 112mph on UK roads over the last 12 months alone."
