GIRLS BKB: SHEPHERD 35, PINCONNING 31 (OT)
Pinconning got a quick reminder of the thrills of basketball season.
Playing in the season opener, the Spartans battled Shepherd into overtime before coming up shy in a 35-31 loss.
“The girls played hard and I’m proud of that, but we have some things to clean up for sure,” Pinconning coach Duane Pitts said. “Too many turnovers in key spots hurt us, but we had our chances to win this game. We just need to keep working hard and improving.”
