Scots up and down the country are set for a truly miserable weekend as the Met Office has extended its yellow rain warning into Monday, December 15. While many people would have been hoping for some festive snowfall, instead some areas of Scotland could be experiencing 100mm of rainfall. ‌

Initially, Dumfries and Galloway, the Scottish Borders and Aryshire were expected to be hit with a weekend wash out as a weather warning was put in place from Saturday, December 13 at 12pm to Sunday, December 14 at 6pm. However with the impact level increasing, the Met Office has issued some updated weather warnings. ‌
