Ryobi’s R Yacht Co. recently revealed the first details of its newbuild, which is set to be built at the West Sea shipyard in Viana do Castelo, Portugal .

According to a press release, the yacht-style cruise ship will be named the Sefu and is scheduled for delivery in time for summer 2027.

The Japan-based company stated that the chosen name comes from two Japanese words: Setouchi and wind.

“The name Sefu embodies our feelings for the wind, which has sometimes gently accompanied people and sometimes propelled them forward,” R Yacht stated.

The company added that carrying the name of the Setouchi company will help the ship bring prosperity and change to all parts of Japan.

The Sefu will feature interior design by Gwenael Nicolasof Tokyo-based Curiosity Co., as well as 60 staterooms.
