Kyiv: A new draft peace proposal being discussed by the United States, Ukraine and European partners suggests that Ukraine could become a member of the European Union as early as 2027, according to recent reports. The plan, first highlighted by the Financial Times and later referenced by Reuters, is part of wider negotiations aimed at ending the ongoing war with Russia.

The proposal outlines a fast tracked timeline for Ukraine’s EU entry, a move that would significantly speed up the usual membership process. European officials have not yet confirmed the plan and some EU countries are said to be cautious about approving such a rapid accession, especially while the conflict continues.
