Police are investigating after a 17-year-old boy was shot in Hartford on Thursday evening.
Officers were dispatched to Hartland Street just before 7 p.m. Thursday for a ShotSpotter notification, according to Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police Department .
Arriving officers located a a 17-year-old boy who was alert and conscious on the scene, Boisvert said. He was transported to an area hospital with what police called a non-life-threatening injury, according to Boisvert.
The Hartford Police Department’s Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions responded to the scene and assumed the investigation
