New Delhi: The Union Cabinet on Friday gaive its nod in princiole for a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India and Oman. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Cabinet met today and gave the green signal.
The bilateral trade agreement betweeen India and Oman is expected to deepen economic ties and open new avenues for trade and investment between the two nations. PM Modi is scheduled to embark on a four-day visit to Jordan, Ethiopia and Oman from December 15.
PM Modi’s visit to Oman will be an opportunity for both the nations to review the bilateral partnership, including in the areas of trade, investment, energy, defence, security, technology, agriculture and culture as well as exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual interest.
