Santa has a helper this year to make sure all the kids in the North East get a little something to open on Christmas Day. Dale Cullen has set up a GoFundMe for the sixth year in a row, where he aims to raise £3,000. And he is 95% of the way there already.
Last year, Dale managed to raise £1,500 which turned into 881 gifts for vulnerable children across the North East and this year he hopes to double it. The one-man band, with help from the odd elf here and there, was inspired by a one-off donation which brought to light the need for present donations.
Gifts don’t have to be big, such as the latest iPad or tech, as Dale believes many just want simple gifts. Dale said items on the list this year include white Nike socks, slippers and a bag big
