A stranger walked into a Birmingham primary school and assaulted three people.

West Midlands Police reported no one was 'seriously injured' but officers are yet to identify the person responsible.

The incident happened at Reaside Academy, located on Tresco Close in Frankley on the evening of Friday, December 5.

Reaside Academy apologised to children and parents over the incident which a spokesperson called 'deeply regrettable'.

In response, a spokesperson said additional staff would be at the premises at the start and end of the school day.
