President Donald Trump reiterated his plan to distribute a tariff dividend to Americans at a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 2.

Trump first floated the idea in a Truth Social post Nov. 9.

He has suggested that it would be a dividend of at least $2,000 for those of moderate income and that it would be distributed sometime in the middle of 2026.

While talks are ongoing about a $2,000 check from the government, don't expect it any time soon.
