A dog found abandoned in a "house of horrors" with seven other dogs has found her forever home after over a year in the SSPCA rescue centre in Glasgow.

Olive is an American Bully breed and was brought into the Scottish SPCA’s Glasgow Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in October 2024 after being discovered abandoned at a property in Dundee. An inspector who attended the address noted an “overwhelming smell of faeces and urine” and described the house as being littered with “dog faeces, rubbish and debris”.

Olive was the only survivor from the property and she arrived at the centre frightened, nervous and extremely underweight. A veterinary examination confirmed that she had recently given birth and was suffering from dehydration and skin and ear infections that would have developed
