Several Subway restaurants in Maine were suddenly forced to close after the state revoked their business registration certificates. The information comes from a WGME report that spoke with employees who were caught off guard by the shutdowns. In Wiscasset, assistant manager Joshua Rogers told WGME that a state revenue official walked in around 10 a.m. and ordered the restaurant to close immediately. Rogers said the man told him to turn off the lights and lock the doors, but did not explain why.
