Pittsburghers love fireworks and they love Paul Skenes. In the 2026 season, Pirates fans won’t have to wait long to enjoy either.

The first fireworks show of the season is scheduled for Friday, April 17, after the game against the Tampa Bay Rays at PNC Park. And, as previously announced, a Skenes Cy Young bobblehead will be given to all fans as they enter the gates for the next day’s game against the Rays.

So, it seems the Pirates learned their lesson by giving all fans a bobblehead. Last year, they initially limited the giveaway to the first 20,000 fans. Lines stretched across the Clemente Bridge as fans sought one of the prized souvenirs. Eventually, the team decided to give all fans who attended the game a bobblehead, which they received later.
