LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The weather has turned colder and we have already had some snow in Kentuckiana that has made a mess of the roads and the vehicles that travel those roads.

As we head deeper into winter, there are a number of important maintenance needs you should attend to for your vehicle to ensure your holiday travels remain safe and reliable.

In general, it is very important that you check and change your engine oil at regular intervals, but going into the winter months it is even more important.

If your vehicle has a dipstick, as most do up to the most recent model years, you want to personally check your engine oil to make sure it is at the "full" mark.
