WAWAYANDA - An off-duty Kingston police officer shot another driver in what state police are describing as a road rage incident.

It happened at approximately 3:45 p.m. Dec. 11 on Dolsontown Road near the intersection of McVeigh Road in the Town of Wawayanda in Orange County, according to state police.

State police said a preliminary investigation revealed that a 2020 Volkswagen and a 2021 Toyota pickup truck were involved in the road rage incident, which spanned approximately one mile along Dolsontown Road.
