Edmonton fire crews have been battling the elements on Friday morning, after a fire broke out in the old CSU 52 building.
Fire crews responded to the building along 95 Street near 113 Avenue early Friday.
As of 9 a.m., EFRS was still working to put out the fire, while also dealing with temperatures reaching -27 C, closer to -31 C with the wind chill.
The old CSU 52 building was known for having a mural of former Lieutenant Governor Lois Hole, who was an elected trustee for the Sturgeon School Division, before serving as Chancellor of the University of Alberta and becoming Alberta’s 15th Lieutenant Governor in 2000.
More to come.
