A Sudbury man facing an impaired driving charge laid in May has pleaded to the lesser charge of careless driving.
“Your behaviour on the day in question, in particular, the poor driving … you could have injured another motorist or pedestrian,” Ontario Court Justice Graham told Jenner Stephane Blanchette in Sudbury court.

Jenner, accepting a joint sentencing submission from the Crown and defence lawyer Michael Venturi, issued a $1,000 fine and a 15-month probation order.
The order includes the conditions that St. Germain, 26, complete the province’s Back on Track program and not drive with any alcohol in his system or possess any cannabis while driving.
