LOS ANGELES – A woman was shot to death late Thursday night in South Los Angeles.

Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 11000 block of S. Avalon Blvd. around 11:00 p.m.

Upon arrival, they located a woman suffering from gunshots wound and she was pronounced deceased at the scene.

There is no suspect description at this time.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
