LONG BEACH – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle Thursday in Long Beach.
The woman was struck about 6:20 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of East Anaheim Street and Rose Avenue.
Long Beach Police Department officers dispatched to the location found the woman in the roadway and attempted to give her lifesaving aid. Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived and rushed her to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.
According to preliminary findings, a 2022 Honda Accord was traveling west on East Anaheim Street when it struck the woman as she was attempting to cross the street.
