LOS ANGELES – Authorities have identified the woman who was shot to death in the Green Meadows neighborhood of South Los Angeles.

Los Angeles Police Department officers responded at 10:31 p.m. Thursday to Avalon Boulevard and 113th Street regarding a shots-fired call. When they arrived at the scene, the officers learned the victim was arguing with two men when one of them drew a gun and shot her, according to an LAPD officer.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel were called to the scene, where they pronounced the victim dead.

The victim has been identified as Christine Johnson, 34, according to the Medical Examiner’s office.

The suspects ran away from the scene in an unknown direction, police said.
