EAST LANSING – Michigan State men's basketball head coach Tom Izzo is getting a salary increase.
The MSU Board of Trustees approved the raise for Izzo during the Dec. 12 Board of Trustees meeting.
The terms of the updated contract have not yet been released.
Izzo has been the Spartan's men's basketball coach since 1995. He is the winningest coach in Big Ten history, currently holding a 745-303 record across his 31 seasons leading the program.
The motion for a raise was included within the personnel actions and information reports. The board also approved the hiring of Pat Fitzgerald as the new head football coach in the motion.
