FRANKENMUTH, MI – Frankenmuth School District announced this week that its board of education has selected a new superintendent, filling the role that was left vacant earlier this year.

The board, on Monday, Dec. 8, selected interim Superintendent and Frankenmuth High School Principal JoLynn Clark for the position, according to a press release from the district.

The board’s selection concludes an extensive search process , district officials said.

Clark will succeed former Superintendent Grant Hegenauer, who resigned at the end of the previous school year.

The position has been offered to Clark pending contract negotiations with the board.

Clark has been with the district for 23 years, and has served interim superintendent since July, while also serving as the district’s high school
