House Democrats have released 19 new images from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate that depict the accused sex trafficker with several power figures, including President Donald Trump and former President Bill Clinton.
The photos were part of a stash of more than 95,000 photos received by the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, according to a Friday, Dec. 12 statement from Rep. Robert Garcia (D-California), ranking member of the committee.
Congress has set a Dec. 19 deadline for the release under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, legislation first opposed by but later signed by Trump. Democrats have been vocal about their push for the Justice Department to release all of its files on Epstein’s criminal investigation.
“All we want is full transparency," said House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-New York. "That’s what the Epstein survivors deserve and have demanded.”
"Once again, House Democrats are selectively releasing cherry-picked photos with random redactions to try and create a false narrative," White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson said. "The Democrat hoax against President Trump has been repeatedly debunked and the Trump Administration has done more for Epstein’s victims than Democrats ever have."
Who is releasing the Epstein files?
- Rep. Robert Garcia (D–California), the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, spearheaded the release and said in a Dec. 12 press statement, "It is time to end this White House cover-up and bring justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his powerful friends."
- House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D–New York) publicly supported the push for transparency. In a Dec. 12 news briefing, he told reporters that House Democrats led by Garcia "are going to continue to make sure that we're holding this administration accountable."
House Oversight Committee Democrats released a joint statement on X, formerly Twitter, on Dec. 12, saying in part, "These disturbing images raise even more questions about Epstein and his relationships with some of the most powerful men in the world. Time to end this White House cover-up. Release the files!"

Will more Epstein photos be released?
Garcia told reporters on Dec. 12 that he expects the committee to release more photos in the next few days, ahead of the Dec. 19 deadline set by Congress.
"We've gone through maybe about 25,000 of them so far," he said. "We will continue to put out more photos in the days and weeks ahead." he said.
