University of Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel was thought to be on the ropes following the firing of Sherrone Moore . But there’s now some clarity on his future.
There was some talk of Manuel possibly being made to follow Moore out the exit door, given the way things unfolded. It was even suggested that he would be unlikely to have a say in Moore’s replacement.
However, according to Ross Dellenger of Yahoo Sports , Michigan has no plans to ditch its AD. Dellenger noted in a tweet that calls were held on Thursday to address the situation regarding Moore’s situation.
And it appears that Manuel will be involved in the appointment of a new head coach.
