A man was sentenced to 50 years in prison on Friday for distributing fentanyl to a man who later died of an overdose in Boulder County.

Carlos Centeno-Izaguirre, 45, faces a prison sentence that could last well into his 90s after he pleaded guilty to 12 charges, including one count of distribution of fentanyl resulting in death; five counts of unlawful distribution of fentanyl; two counts of distribution within 1,000 feet of a school; one count of manufacturing a controlled substance; one count of possession with the intent to distribute a schedule one or two drug; and one count of distribution of a schedule one or two drug, according to online court records.
