The National Weather Service in Jackson is warning Mississippians to expect another round of freezing temperatures starting on Sunday.
A quick rush of Arctic air will move into Mississippi on Sunday night. Temperatures are expected to be in the 15-20 degree range for most of Mississippi on Monday morning. South Mississippi will see lows in the mid to upper 20s, with a bitter wind chill, possibly in the 10s. Forecasters are urging Mississippians to make preparations now, before temperatures drop. Protections will need to be in place for people, pets, pipes, and plants.
