WASHINGTON - An emergency declaration request from Washington state has been signed by President Donald Trump.

The state’s entire Congressional delegation requested the emergency declaration following severe storms and flooding in the state .

Governor Bob Ferguson announced Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem informed him Friday morning that the president signed the request.

“I expressed my thanks to Secretary Noem on behalf of the people of the State of Washington during this extremely challenging time,” Ferguson said.
