The final autopsy report for the man discovered unconscious on a roller coaster at Epic Universe determined that he died from multiple blunt force injuries and classified his death as accidental.

Kevin Rodriguez Zavala, 32, died after riding the Stardust Racer thrill coaster at Epic Universe on Sept. 17.

His girlfriend, who was seated next to him on the ride, said he hit his head multiple times on the first hill of the coaster.

Autopsy findings

The autopsy findings of the medical examiner in Orlando’s Ninth District revealed Zavala had "blunt impact injuries of the head and neck."

The report said Zavala also had impact injuries to the torso and extremities, including a fracture of the right femur and lacerations on the right thigh musculature.
