The 2A Conference Northland Prep boys basketball team went 0-2 on the first day of the Pepsi Holiday Tournament at Flagstaff High School Thursday. The Spartans lost each of their opening day games to 3A Winslow and 3A Parker by four points.

The Spartans were coming off a championship performance at the Edgar Brown Tournament in Williams last week, where NPA finished 5-0.
