A history teacher at a Washington DC, public charter school was arrested for allegedly attempting to entice a minor, US Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro announced.
John Aaron Gass, 35, was arrested at his Hyattsville home in connection with the production of child pornography and enticement dating back to the spring.
According to the charging documents, Gass allegedly sexually abused a minor child beginning earlier this year — and recorded it.
On multiple occasions, it is alleged that Gass "climbed through the child’s bedroom window at night to sexually abuse her."
In late November, the FBI received information from the Metropolitan Police Department alleging that Gass met with a minor child on multiple occasions to sexually abuse her.
On at least two occasions, he allegedly used the victim’s phone to record explicit videos of himself and the child.
According to the District of Columbia International School website, Gass earned a BA in History from the University of Missouri-Columbia and his master's degree in Education from American University.
Before joining the charter school, Gass spent three years teaching English at Ballou SHS, and he has ties to several nonprofits and urban schools in the DC area.
