LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) — Students at Lincoln’s Standing Bear High School got the chance to channel their best “Shark Tank” impressions by participating in a Quick Pitch program with the Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Nebraska.
More than 50 ninth and tenth grade students got three minutes to present their business ideas to judges.
These students are in the Nebraska Business Focus Program.
Student Engagement Coordinator Mallory Krenk said it helps expand their creativity and confidence.
“I hope this experience kind of gives them the confidence to go do the things that they might be scared of and go pursue these side hustles or businesses or ideas,” Krenk said. “No matter if they become a founder in 10 years or even if it’s just like an idea that they have.“
