CLEVELAND, Ohio – Tis’ the season for the comforting classics. These past few weeks, I’ve been taking you through some of our city’s best soups. This week, we’re down the 12 (or so) days of Christmas and as long as I can remember, that means Jack Frost Donuts .

The beloved, family-run doughnuttery is always in the running on “Best of Cleveland” lists like ours , with stories from longtime residents, visitors and celebrities making stops there.

This week, they opened another location—moving into a space at Olde Avon Village (36840 Detroit Rd.) next door to Strip Steakhouse. I don’t need to tell you what this means for this west sider’s waistline. If I keep it up, I’ll be Santa himself in my second act.
