A fallen tree caused delays in a market town.

Melford Road in Sudbury was blocked by a tree which had fallen close to the roundabout with Sudbury Road and the A134.

Photos from the scene show the tree blocked the carriageway in both directions.

Witnesses said the road was closed.

There were delays in the town as a result of the incident but sensors show traffic in the town has cleared.
