A man who shot a motorist on the Parkway West in the eye during a road rage incident in July 2024 was sentenced to up to eight years in prison on Thursday, according to court records.

Rashawn Hall, 23, pleaded guilty to felony charges of aggravated assault and conspiracy in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas and prosecutors dropped the attempted homicide charges Hall had also been facing.

Hall will serve seven years of probation following his sentence of four to eight years in prison, court records show.

Hall was arrested four days after police responded to the shooting in the area of Exit 69A of Interstate 376 on July 14, 2024 after receiving reports that rifle rounds were fired from one vehicle into a passing vehicle.
